1. The Animation Workshop launches incubation program “ANDIMATION” for the Andean Region
ANDIMATION is a program designed by The Animation Workshop (a leading animation school in Denmark, which is a part of Via University College) and supported by the Simón I. Patiño Foundation of Geneva (Bolivia), the Danish Embassy in La Paz (Bolivia) and the 1st TIFA (International Animation Training Workshop in the Andean Region) in Venezuela.
The workshop consists of 2 months of incubation in Viborg (Denmark) for 15 participants from 5 countries in South America, Bolivia, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. The participants are animation creatives with a background of director, concept artist, writers and producers.
They will have to work in 5 teams of 3 persons to develop a concept of animated TV series. In December, all the teams will pitch their concept during the 1st TIFA in Venezuela. Then the selected team will produce the pilot episode of the series in Bolivia from January to May.
ANDIMATION hopes to be the beginning of a broad movement for the animation sector in the Andean Region countries.

2. 40th Edition of CINANIMA open Call for Entries
International animation festival CINANIMA opened Call for Entries. This year is its 40th Anniversary and it will be held in Espinho, Portugal from 7th to 13th November.
Works concluded after the 1st of January 2015 and which have not been presented for selection in previous editions of the Festival are eligible. Entries will be accepted until the 10th of July 2016. Rules, Technical Specifications, Entry Form and further information at http://cinanima.pt/en/.
3. The submission entry for animago AWARD 2016 will close 19th July
animago AWARD in the animago AWARD & CONFERENCE in Munich, Germany from 27th to 28th October, 2016 announced that they extended the deadline of the submission to 19th July. The animago AWARD is leading the fields of 3d animation & still, visual effects and visualization. They received 1,008 entries from 58 different countries in 2015.The participation is free of charge. They invite all industry professionals and rising stars with focus on digital media productions to submit their works for consideration by their expert juries. The jury members evaluate all submitted productions having regard to the adequate category. Three outstanding entries per category will be nominated and the best of them will win the coveted animago trophy.
