1. Mexico’s Un Gallo Con Muchos Huevos comes to USA

The Wrap reported that Un Gallo Con Muchos Huevos, the computer-animated Mexican movie, has an estimated sale of USD 4.2 million over the four-day Labour Day Holiday in just 395 theatres in USA. Cartoon Brew says that it reached 100 million pesos (almost $6 million) sales in two weeks after its openings in Mexican theatres and Lionsgate’s Pantelion Film brought this to USA. The Rooster With Many Eggs is the title in English.

2. Animation artist in residence Tokyo 2016

The Japan Image Council (JAPIC) is seeking applications for the Animation artist in residence Tokyo 2016 program. It is organized by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan (Bunka-cho). It provides three outstanding young animation artists from around the world with an opportunity to come to Tokyo and create new works while directly interacting with Japanese animation culture. It aims to promote both the creation of excellent works of animation and a better understanding of Japanese culture. Expenses for travel, travel insurance, living allowance and accommodation are provided. The duration of program is 70 days, starting from January 7th and ending on 17th  March 2016.
