1. Studio Ghibli animates Chōjū-giga
Marubeni Power Retail, Japanese electric power company, released the first episode of an animated commercial series created by Studio Ghibli. Eco project “Plan G” is a collaborative project between Marubeni Power Retail and Ghibli. As one of the projects, Studio Ghibli animated Chōjū-giga, which is a famous old art scroll in Japan created in 12th century also known as “the oldest Manga”.

3. Shanghai Anim 2016 calls for entries
Shanghai Anim 2016 is an international festival celebrating global student animation creativity, comprising selected 2014 and 2015 graduate films from animation schools in China, France and many other countries worldwide. Films will be screened in various venues around Shanghai in June 2016. Shanghai Anim is a local incarnation of the worldwide student animation festival, Panam Anim. Participating schools for Shanghai Anim 2016 include China Academy Art, Hong Kong Design Institute, Gobelins in France and The Animation Workshop in Denmark.
