1. Nickelodeon brings back Rocko’s Modern Life for TV Special


Nickelodeon greenlighted an original one-hour TV special based on its classic Rocko’s Modern Life originally aired in 90s. With Rocko’s original creator Joe Murray on board as executive producer, the animated Rocko’s Modern Life TV special will bring back all the show’s classic characters and offer some new takes on life in O-Town.

2. 40-day countdown to Aardman’s official birthday date continues


Aardman announced that they would celebrate its 40th anniversary with a series of special events, exhibitions and merchandise to mark the occasion. The celebrations kicked off on 27th July as the studio began the 40-day countdown to their official birthday date of the 4th September. Each day, a classic clip, exciting behind the scenes video, and interactive experience are available on the top page of their website.

3. A feature length documentary on Animation, Inc. Ireland’s Creative Industry

Animation, Inc. Ireland’s Creative Industry is a feature length documentary that depicts the journey of animators who are leading Irish animation industry. They practiced their craft in colleges and studios in the USA, UK and Canada in the 80s and the 90s and became leaders in education and of studios in those same countries.
