The 13th Animation Production Day (APD)

The 13th APD will be held from 1st to 3rd May 2019 as a part of the Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) and the FMX. APD is the most important business platform for animation projects in Germany.

Representatives from the German and international animation industry will gather at APD for the showcased projects. APD brings together around 170 producers, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, funding bodies and banks in a series of preplanned, one-to-one meetings. Projects Submissions

You, producers, can now submit your project to APD 2019 from the page of Registration by 21st February 2019 (Early-bird discounted tickets is available until 30th January 2019). Animation projects in the areas of film, TV series, mobile content, games, cross-media and transmedia can all be submitted. Hybrid formats, mixing animation and live action, are also eligible. A total of 45 projects will be selected by the APD jury for participation in APD 2019.

Register for participation (Producers and Studios without their own project, and Investors)

Producers, studios, VFX and service producers looking for projects in which they can get involved can register either for the co-producers’ programme or the full APD programme from the registration page by 21st February 2019. Early-bird discounted tickets are available until 30th January 2019.

Broadcasters, digital platforms, sales and distribution companies, funding bodies, banks and all other industry representatives that can contribute to the financing of animation projects should register as investors from the registration page by 8th March 2019. Early-bird discounted tickets are available until 30th January 2019.

APD Talent Programme

Young German and European producers, and animation and production degree graduates, have the opportunity to participate in APD for free and to present their own project for which they are seeking production and/or financing partners from the registration page by 21st February 2019.
